Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 Turbo SE Premium 5dr Auto Review
Category: Small car
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Vauxhall Corsa is a competent small car, but isn’t outstanding in any area. It isn’t as comfortable or as nice inside as the closely related Peugeot 208, not as fun to drive as a Ford Fiesta, nor as spacious as a Volkswagen Polo. It is at least well equipped and not too expensive, if you stick to our recommended trim.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThis trim level offers good value and is our pick of the entire range. On top of everything SE gives you, it adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic lights and wipers and rear parking sensors.
The engine
See full engine specsThe pick of the range is this 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 99bhp. It offers nippy acceleration at low speeds and enough flexibility for motorway journeys, too. Although some rivals, including the Peugeot 208, offer engines with even more power, this 1.2 100 is really all you need and will cover 0-60mph in 9.3sec, plus officially average over 50mpg. Just bear in mind that opting for the eight-speed automatic transmission, rather than the standard six-speed manual, makes it almost a second slower from 0-60mph.
