Review

The Vauxhall Corsa is a competent small car, but not outstanding in any area. It isn’t as comfortable or as nice inside as the closely related Peugeot 208, not as fun to drive as a Ford Fiesta, nor as spacious as a Volkswagen Polo. It is at least well equipped and not too expensive, if you stick to our recommended trims.

Trim: SRi Nav Premium

Well equipped but expensive. You get a 10.0in infotainment system, sat-nav, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, LED ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, auto lights and wipers, power-folding door mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, LED headlights, digital instruments, privacy glass, climate control, 17in alloy wheels, keyless entry, sports seats and blind spot monitoring.

Engine: 1.5 Turbo D

The 1.5 102 Turbo D diesel engine has 101bhp and is stronger than the 1.2 100 petrol from low revs – for more flexible in-gear performance – but hasn't got the same ultimate pace, so isn't as quick away from the traffic lights. The excellent fuel economy will appeal to anyone doing very high miles.
