The model
Read full reviewThe Vauxhall Corsa is a competent small car, but isn’t outstanding in any area. It isn’t as comfortable or as nice inside as the closely related Peugeot 208, not as fun to drive as a Ford Fiesta, nor as spacious as a Volkswagen Polo. It is at least well equipped and not too expensive, if you stick to our recommended trim.

The engine
See full engine specsWith 101bhp, it is very slightly stronger than the 1.2 100 petrol, and this is most noticeable from low revs. It provides more flexible in-gear performance for overtaking, but doesn't have the same ultimate pace and isn't as quick away from the traffic lights. It is roughly similar on pace to the Polo and Ibiza’s 1.6 TDI 95, and officially it will average over 70mpg.
