Design trim kicks off the Insignia range, yet it still gets a decent amount of kit. This includes auto lights, keyless start, electric front and rear windows, air-con, cruise control, a 7.0in touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a multi-function steering wheel.
In effect, this is the same as the entry-level engine but with a little more power. It’s flexible despite its small size and there’s only a small emissions, fuel economy and price penalty. Just remember that a diesel will be much more economical if you’re doing lots of miles.
