If you’re in the market for a big people mover, the Vauxhall Vivaro Life should definitely be on your shortlist – it’s spacious, well equipped with interior tech and easy to drive, with fuel-efficient engines. What’s against it is that it's not exactly cheap, and there are plenty of car-based MPVs that ride and handle better that are available for less money.

Elite is the one we’d recommend because it adds important safety tech such as automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and blind-spot monitoring. You also get a better sound system, sat-nav, dual-zone climate control, a back-up camera and rear parking sensors, plus there’s leather trim with heated and massaging seats in the front.
