Spacious for seven but it’s pricey and rivals are more comfortable

Trim: Executive

Executive trim gets leather and Alcantara seats, bigger wheels, climate control and powered side doors. However, it’s pricey considering there are only a few genuinely useful extras.

Engine: 2.0 TDI BlueMotion Tech 150

It may not be the most powerful engine, but it has plenty of low-end shove, gets up to motorway speeds in a reasonable amount of time and is even pretty refined. The icing on the cake is that it isn’t too expensive to buy and is the cheapest option to run. Comes with a seven-speed auto gearbox.
