The GTI+ carries a fairly hefty premium over the regular GTI, but you get plenty of extra luxuries, including automatic LED headlights, tinted rear windows, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control and digital instrument dials.
The engineSee full engine specs
This punchy 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is exclusive to the hot GTI model. With 197bhp it’s certainly quick: we recorded a 0-60mph of just 6.4 seconds. We just wish it had a little more character, though; its flat tone does very little to encourage you to hold onto gears, unlike the rorty three-cylinder engine in the Fiesta ST.
