Review
The Tiguan is a strong competitor in the family SUV class with great handling and a long equipment list. Other premium rivals like the BMW X1 are just slightly better finished, though.
get the best priceTrim: SEL
This trim gains a few luxuries over SE, such as digital instrument dials, adaptive cruise control, even bigger alloys, a panoramic sunroof and some piano-black trim. It’s plush but rather pricey, so we'd recommend sticking with a cheaper trim.
Engine: 2.0 TDi 190 4Motion
Predictably, this diesel engine offers strong performance, although you are forced into paying extra for four-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. If you want both of those things along with strong performance, this engine is worth considering. Shame it isn't a bit cheaper.
