The multitalented XC40 is so good we named it our 2018 What Car? Car of the Year. It blends practicality traits, such as good passenger space and a very practical boot, with comfort, a quality interior and a top-notch safety rating. That means you are not only buying a stylish product, but one backed up by substance, too. Overall it's a better family SUV than a BMW X1 or X2, but check out the Range Rover Evoque before you buy, which is a fine car and the XC40’s strongest rival.get the best price
Trim:R DESIGN Pro
This model is based on the standard R-Design, but adds adaptive LED headlights, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, headlight washers, a heated windscreen and 20in alloy wheels.
The cheapest diesel engine in the lineup is also the best fit for the XC40. It's more flexible at low engine speeds than the T3, so although it's not a great deal faster you don't have to work it so hard to make progress. Plus, it returns impressive real-world fuel economy. Available with an automatic or manual gearbox, as well as front or four-wheel drive.
