Review

The Volvo XC60 looks and feels classy inside, plus it's also roomy and well equipped. In short, it's a fine choice – especially in entry-level Momentum trim. The Audi Q5 is a better all-rounder, though, while the BMW X3 and Porsche Macan are more fun to drive.

We say stick with entry-level Momentum trim because it gives you all the essentials and quite a bit more on top. Climate control, keyless start, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers, and heated leather seats all come as standard. You only really need to add metallic paint.

With 247bhp, the B5 can sprint to 62mph in 6.6sec, so it's plenty brisk enough. You can have either front, or four wheel drive.
