Trim level

Inscription Pro
Adding the Pro Pack to the already luxurious Inscription trim gets you air suspension, a heated windscreen, a heated steering wheel, LED foglights and even massaging front seats. It’s far too pricey to recommend, though.
Inscription
Range-topping Inscription trim does bring an even more upmarket interior and fully electric seats. However, it pushes the XC60’s price into the realm of altogether bigger and better cars, such as the Land Rover Discovery and Volvo’s own flagship XC90.
R DESIGN Pro
Keeps the sporty looks of R-Design but adds even bigger (21in) alloy wheels, air suspension, a heated windscreen, a heated steering wheel and LED foglights. It is rather pricey, though, and the air suspension results in an inconsistent ride.
R DESIGN
This is the most popular trim level, thanks to its more aggressive styling; you also get chunky 19in alloys and tinted windows. Sports suspension results in a slightly firmer ride than the standard car – this might not be for everyone – but the upside is better body control and a more rewarding driving experience.
Momentum Pro
The Pro Pack adds an electric driver’s seat, a heated windscreen, a heated steering wheel and LED foglights to Momentum.
Our pick
Momentum
This may be the entry-level trim but we reckon it’s all you really need. Climate control, keyless start, cruise control, automatic lights and wipers and heated leather seats all come as standard, so the only thing you’ll probably want to add is metallic paint.
