Review

The Volvo XC90 is one of the best luxury SUVs on the market, combining a high quality, spacious and versatile interior with plenty of kit and top-notch safety. The Audi Q7 is still a better overall package, though.

Trim: Momentum

The pick of the bunch. Adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights and wipers, leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, sat-nav, a 12.3in TFT screen with digital instruments, LED headlights, Bluetooth, 19in alloy wheels, climate control, an electric driver’s seats, heated front seats and keyless entry and start are all standard.

Engine: 2.0 D5 PowerPulse

This four-cylinder diesel engine is our pick of the range. It provides decent performance coupled with sensible fuel economy. Company car buyers might want to consider the T8 hybrid instead for its lower CO2 emissions, but the majority of buyers will find the diesel spot on.
