Car of the Year Awards 2022: Best electric SUV for value
Thanks to big advancements in battery and charging technology, the best electric SUVs are now as usable as they are desirable...
Skoda Enyaq 60 Lodge
When you look at everything you get with the Skoda Enyaq 60, it frankly looks a bit of a bargain compared with any of its similar-sized rivals.
Those rivals include the Ford Mustang Mach-E and even the Volkswagen ID.4, to which the Enyaq is closely related. It handily undercuts those cars, and despite its keen pricing, our favourite 60 Lodge version gives you 19in alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, adjustable lumbar support and a huge, 13.0in touchscreen infotainment system.
What’s more, the interior is very well screwed together, using materials that are generally a pleasure to touch, and there’s plenty of space for five adults to travel in comfort.
Plus, the huge boot swallowed nine carry-on suitcases in our test. The 252-mile official range is enough for the occasional longer trip; you could upgrade to the 80 for a range of 336 miles, but the 60 is the best Enyaq for value.
