    My car

I purchased this car Noveber 2008, with a mileage of 45,000 and have completed about 6,000 since then. The performance from the 3 litre V6 is impressive. The car drives very nicely. Initially it was averaging around 35 miles to the gallon. Whilst out one day the engine died and the car had to be rescued to the local Saab dealer. The EGR sensor had failed. Replacement cost £1,067.00. Since this was fitted the fuel consumption is better and it now averages about 42 mile per gallon. Overall I like the car very much and as long as nothing else serious goes wrong, intend to keep it for a few years

    My car

This is the fifth 95 I have owned. I generally buy used Saabs for the huge discount you can get on them but on this occasion I decided to blow some money and go out for the Turbo edition. Its a cracker of a car, the 2.3T unit is excellent for overtaking, cruising on the motorways and it sounds quite good to.

Saabs are not for everyone though, if your looking to pose around in a fancy badge look at the M5’s, E-class AMG, S6’s, but with Saabs you get a practical, comfy, fast car that gets you from A to B safely. Room in the car is brilliant; often use the car for business trips so seating five adults is easy. I often do motorway driving with many miles being covered each year so the engine is well used in my cars. The last 95, which I had for 6 years, did 262,000 miles on the clock; I expect the same again for this car to. Interior is well screwed together, no squeaks or sounds, everything working as it should be. Always service your Saab at a Saab garage or specialist, it makes a huge difference to the way your car will perform and run. As somebody has stated in their comments earlier these cars are coming to the end of their time, which is amazing because they have been on our roads since 1997. So my advice is buy one now, they are heavily discounted at the moment and stocks are running low according to the Saab dealer. Happy driving so far!

You will probably be looking at this car if you want a large estate at a reasonable price. Forget the list price, they come with huge discounts as the car is coming to the end of its run. There is little to compare it against at this price. Audi A6, Merc E class, BMW 5 series or Volvo, but all these cars carry a £10K premium for the same spec. You are looking at Vectra or Mondeo money and therefore this is something of a bargain. OK interior finish not up with the Merc's etc as the Saab is getting on, but going on my last two new cars, both of which were Mercedes, reliability is as good after 22K miles. Very comfortable seats, and driven reasonably carefully averages 45 - 47 between tanks. Cannot find a car of this size and quality at the (discounted) price.

    My car

My 2001 2.3t estate has now covered 190,000 miles and runs as good as it ever did. The secret is to understand what you need to do as an owner such as letting it tickover for a minute after a run, use the right oil, clean out the sump after 100k miles, keep an eye on the main belt. The easy way to look after it is to make sure you have it regualrly serviced by a Saab specialist who will understand all this and can warn you of something that may need looking at. I still do trips of 500+ miles a day in complete confidenc and comfort and given that I have a 2.3 full power turbo engine with an auto gearbox, 27 mpg average over the last two years is pretty good in my mind. Inside it looks almost as good as new (when I clean it) and I would recomend it to anyone who wants a big estate car to do a lot of miles in.

I am now buying a 9-5 Vector Sport 1.9TiD estate as (still keeping this one as well) I like it so much.
