I have owned the A6 for over six years and it has been a marvellous car. I am delighted with the quality of fit and finish, comfort, performance and econony. It remains one of the biggest and nicest cabins to be in and is superior, in my opinion, to current Audi products.
This is a smooth fast engine, with very good fuel economy considering size of vehicle - 36mpg on long run easily attainable.
It has a large boot to fit almost any size case or Golf clubs, and a large, roomy cabin easily seating four adults, or five if needs be.
Overall, it's a pleasent car to drive, with good acceleration and with an excellent turn of speed. Much preferred to my old S-Class Mercedes 2.8 SE.
Very powerful and roomy executive. I used to have a BMW 5-series but me the wife and the kids prefer this.
It has most feautures as standard, like climate control. Servicing and repair costs are pricey being an Audi. I recently had to replace the track rod ends after it being recalled by Audi for a bearing arm check. The bearing arms were fine but the track rod ends had split. When I took it to the Audi dealer, they quoted me aroung £600+ to get it fixed. But when I went to a different dealer, they did it for £313 inc. The driver's window also didn't go up and it cost £275 to fix that. Now the passenger window and the rear passenger window also have the same problem.
I also had to have the air-mass meter replaced as advised by my dealer. That cost a further £256 - funny though because it was fine on the way to the dealer but on the way back it wouldn't go over 40mph. I got them back by accidentally putting petrol into their brand new Audi A2 courtsey car, it was a DIESEL!
A great roomy cruiser with a quality feel and excellent internal space. Only let down by limited steering feel. Running costs very good, courtesy of the variable services intervals.
