    My car

One week and 1,400 miles in to my Mondeo experience and so far I'm really impressed. It's a 2.2 tdci Titanium X in Hypnotic silver with Sports pack, Technology pack and Xenons. Chosen for 2 reasons; 1) my alternative company car choice was a base 318i 2) we have a 911 as a 2nd car and needed something bigger.

Pros: Size (huge!); interior quality; equipment levels (the blue tooth phone system is excellent); ride qualiy (once I'd reduced the tyre pressure from the 41psi it came with to the recommended levels); long distance comfort (1,400 miles in a week an no aches and pains at all); mid range acceleration; steering; sound system (fabulous quality for a factory system); Paint quality.

Cons: Doesn't feel as agile as the previous model; brakes are over-servoed and pedal is too high vs throttle for toe & heeling (I like to smooth my downchanges); Panel fit is not as tight as previous BMW.

Obviously time will tell as far as reliability and dealer service quality is concerned, but so far so good.

    My car

I bought a year old Titanium X 2.0 tdci and have been blown away by the comfort and size of the cabin. The drive is good and sure with losts of extras like ESP to make sure you hold the road. It's not an Audi but to get all these options and the four rings on the grille you'd have to pay double the price. Running costs seem good so far - we'd considered the 1.8 tdci unit but this one gives a bit more power/torque so I think it would be a little under powered. I think it is a great looking car too. Ford seem to have it right this time - no electrical problems on our car either.

    My car

I took delivery of the Titanium X Sport yesterday and in the 60 miles I've covered so far the difference is like night & day over the 2:0 140bhp model. Power & handling are superb (stiffer suspension & anti roll bar bushes & 15mm lowered/firmer springs)Interior red stiched black leather, piano black & carbontex trim set it apart from even the high spec Titanium X. Exterior its in Panther black, privacy glass, new honeycomb style grills in contrasting colour to body colour, has front, rear & side body kit(with a very neat rear difuser)& what really sets it apart are the twin exit chrome exhausts which both work(not like some Jags I've seen with a dummy pipe!) So my 3rd new Mondeo in under a year..have Ford finally cracked it for me?..Watch this space!

    My car

I have owned 2 new Mondeos in 10 months but were full of electric problems i.e engine momentarly shutting down, lights switching off, dails not illuminating, imobiliser leaving car unable to start & lambda sensor carboning up causeing power loss also. All the problems were solved & I ended up with a good car..untill the new Titanium X Sport 2:2 175 BHP was launched so I have one arriving 15th August. This is a car sales team had said would not be built!! So will give a review on it when it arrives.
