    My car

My Mondeo Titanium Sport (2.5L Turbo) was delivered last Thursday and I am truly excited by the engine and the road handling. I waited more that four months to be delivered and I can say that it was well worth the wait. I opted for the Mondeo since I believed that the handling, ride quality and tempo easily surpassed any of the Mercedes, BMWs and Audi of the similar and even higher price. Yesterday a motor cyclist tapped on the passenger window and asked me where I got that twin exhaust kit for my unassuming Mondeo. I said to him that it is the 2.5T (the badge appears only below the driver side flash indicator) and off he went speechless. It is sad that the FMC doesnot promote this model to the public.

    My car

Have owned the car for nearly a year now and it is time to swap. After going to the Ford from a Nissan Pathfinder, it took some getting used to. I thought it was a little underpowered. Had some electrical problem's as well, it cut's out now and again, and also i get a head light malfunction message, when there is nothing wrong. Just turn the lights on and off and its ok. Boot is a pain in the bum when it rains, also i found it hard to see my mirror's when it was raining as water ran up the side windows. And there is a great deal of difference in fuel comsumption between my Pathfinder and the Mondeo. But that aside i think it is a very good car. My only question is which Mondeo next. The 2.5lt or 2.2tdci sport? Ive seen the reviews on the 2.2, but not the 2.5. Any help would be most welcomed. P.S the fuel cap is brillant.

    My car

I've just bought this car for Taxi use: Its amazing in many ways - its very spacious, quiet, certainly not underpowered, adequate spec, even in 'edge' model - yes I'm delighted, even my passengers have commented on its pleasant quiet ride and bags of leg room. I test drove a few cars prior to choosing the mondeo and for this price (pre registered 08 deliv mileage @ £13000)you can't go wrong -really; The what car reviews are in my opinion spot on! If you're not a badge snob this car is well on par if not better than any BMW/Merc and its around £15,000 cheaper to buy!!

    My car

I've had the car for about 2 weeks after waiting 6 months for delivery that spoilt the new car experience a little. I'm glad I had the sports pack (alloys/spoiler/suspension) as the Zetec looks a little dull without, and the black paintwork looks great but is hard to keep clean!! As other reviewers have pointed out, the initial consumption is disappointing at about 36mpg so I hope for an improvement. Also I hope the engine loosens a bit too as it feels slightly underpowerd compared to the Peugeot 2.0 HDI 136bhp I had previously. I have also noticed the flat spot when pulling away in 1st gear but over time my driving style will compensate for that. The interior is well put together and in the main feels a nice place to be, and the space is impressive, as is the boot space, but the sheer size could put some off, wish I'd got the parking sensors as the rear screen is not the best for reversing. The Sony stereo works well as does the cruise control, which I use most days on the M6 Toll. I'm still getting my head round the bluetooth with voice control, I need to spend some time with the book working it out. One gripe - why is the AUX socket in the glovebox, would have been handier in the box between front seats? And why can you not change MP3 tracks through the normal stereo controls, help please. Overall I am enjoying this car so far, hope it continues!!
