i have just taken delivery of a cruze 1.6ls auto on motorbility i have had the vehicle for 1 week i find it nice to drive very responsive when pulling away from a stand still.it has a large boot which is useful.the vehicle is very quite when driven you dont feel bumps that much i would recommend this car to anyone looking for a well equiped family saloon.that does not cost the earth to buy & run. it is well laid out with the warning lights & gauges visable.the car is also very comfortable even on longish jurneys you do not feel tired or stiff when the journey is over over all i would say it is a nice looking car & a real head turner when being driven
Model Cruze 1.8 LT Auto Instalment #1 - March 2011 Vehicle age: 2 weeks Mileage: 892
I was fortunate to have received a free upgrade from LS trim to LT, with in-dash 6xCD changer, climate control, auto lights/wipers and cruise control. In my second-choice colour of Moroccan Blue. What a car! I am on my third full tank. The first achieved 31.4/mpg with climate control on and the second 35.2 with the CC off. I am targeting 40mpg with this tankful but it may perhaps be a challenge too far. I drive steadily and frugally, slipping the auto into neutral when I have a decline ahead.
No faults so far but just a few minor issues... * Suspension: It is a comfortable, quiet urban ride and motorway cruiser and not as susceptible to wind and road noise reported by mainstream car journo's. However, I do find the rear suspension noticeably 'clunky' over uneven surfaces. * No daylight running lights available on the top-spec UK models. I would have thought with imminent EU regulations in this regard, that it would have it. * The absence of a dead-foot rest - especially on an auto - is an odd omission.
The build quality is excellent with very good quality materials used throughout.
In summary, I am wholly impressed by the Cruze and stick my nose up at Vauxhall badge snobs. Sadly, it is a rare car on our UK roads. It is much underrated and quite astonishing value for money and I am happy to expound its virtues at any given opportunity!
Another update in a couple of months.
This is my first VW and it’s brilliant. Great…
