For The Citroen C-Zero has smooth, strong acceleration at town speeds, with zero emissions and minimal running costs beyond the monthly leasing fee.
Against Maximum range is fewer than 100 miles and public charging points are few and far between. However, the biggest problem is the high cost.

The Citroen C-Zero has a range of up to 93 miles, although how you use it will dictate just how close to that figure you get in real life.
It is aimed at government departments, local councils, energy companies and people involved in the growing green industry, and is available only on a four-year lease, which means users won’t have to worry about battery life or replacement costs.
However, the monthly lease figure is over £400 after reclaiming VAT – a considerable sum when something such as a VW Golf Bluemotion costs much less to lease and is also exempt from city congestion charges. The Nissan Leaf – another all-electric car – also costs less. However, like any all-electric car, the big advantage the C-Zero holds is that it will cost a pittance to run after the leasing fee has been paid.
