Owned a 57 plate double cab from new. Very Tough reliable truck, absolutley no problems for 20,000+ miles, dealer was great. However the back end is very light (worse than other pickups i have driven) when unladen which became very apparent one night on the way home when it spun me into a tree head on at 60mph and rolled several times. I walked away with no injuries whatso ever, apart from a severley damaged ego. Great truck, not very forgiving if you get it wrong cornering but at least it will save your life if you do. Currently awaiting my replacement Hilux. Highly recommended vehicle.
i have a 2004 ex 270 d/cab 4x4 if the new model is as good as this you should buy one. i have had it 4 years serviced just once i check oil plus water and change oil every 15000 it as towed my 7.5 ton trucks loaded on several occasions only replaced brake pads twice in 50.000 miles that is all i have spent on it might not be as refined or prity as some of the other pick ups but if you want a work horse look no further ,
Just purchased a Hilux Invincible 200 special edition, this truck is excellent in every way. By far, better than the top of the range Rodeo and Nissan Navara. I have previousley owned a Navara and would never return to one of these trucks again after driving the new Hilux 200. All in all the limited edition model Hilux sets the standard for all pickups out there. (Power wise it will pull your house down)!!
I have now had my 2.5 D4d Extra Cab for over a year, covered 23,000 miles and not one issue, good fuel ecomomy, great with a load or trailer on the back, and no worries off road, unlike the Nissan Navara I had before - that was utter rubbish.
Toyota aftersales could not be better, very helpful and actually give you another pick up when you go for a service, not a Micra like my last Nissan.
Some people say they have small wheels as only 15" rims, just put bigger tyres on, easy!! Would recomend a Hilux to anyone, they are a work horse and built to do so. Now three friends have changed to Toyota as they have impressed. Very Pleased
