The all-new Mazda 6 goes on sale in January 2013, and these exclusive new pictures provide a closer look at it.
Mazda says the new 6's styling is the latest embodiment of its 'Kodo' design language. It sticks close to that of its Takeri concept car, which made its debut at the 2011 Tokyo motor show.
Unlike the current car, which is available in hatchback, saloon and estate forms, the new 6 will be available only as a saloon or estate. A new 'four-door coupe' - similar in character to cars such as the VW Passat CC and Mercdes CLS - is likely to be added to the range, however.
The new 6 is longer and wider than the current model, but thanks to Mazda's Skyactiv technology, which combines lightweight construction with a new range of engines and gearboxes, it's lighter.
