Volvo V40 review

Everyone knows about Volvo's exceptional safety record, and having been involved in a shunt in our V40 this week, I for one am very glad about it.

I was pootling along the motorway on Wednesday night when the car in front of me suddenly performed an emergency stop due to queueing traffic ahead. I followed suit and managed to pull up in time, but the chap behind me didn't. As a result, his pick-up truck slammed into the Volvo’ rear end, causing the extensive damage you see before you. Luckily, nobody involved in the accident suffered similar damage.

The complicated insurance forms have already been completed, but the extent of the damage is yet to be assessed. Only time will tell whether the car needs repair or replacement.
