I bought a new QP back in November 2007 and have had nothing but problems with it. With only 2500 miles it has had a new steering rack, prop shaft, window sensor and paint flaking off the inside of the boot. Also the rear tyres need replacing already! I paid £88,000 for this car with optional extras. I traded in my Ferrari 360 for this car and it was the worst thing I have ever done. I would not buy a Maserati ever again.
When the Quattraporte first hit the road, everyone including me was stunned by the looks, the performance and the prestige of the marque.
It wasn't long before the gearbox came in for some critisism by those comparing it with a Mercedes S-Class, which seemed a little unfair, as the Quattroporte is not a sedate suit-mover, it is a passionate love affair with a fiery but fabulous woman. It is a sports saloon with the emphasis on sport.
The new revised gearbox in my Sport GT is smooth and fast, especially in sport mode, changing gear far faster than I could manually, and, without the torque converter, the power comes on instantly.
The finish is superb and the inside is a leather fetishist's dream - mine is in beige leather and suede finished with a black dash. I have been told the Quattroporte is the most photographed saloon car in the world and this I can believe.
Not only am I very pleased I had the courage to buy one, but every day I get the same thrill of owning such a beautiful piece of engineering art.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. The Maserati Quattroporte is a fabulous car. It looks like any other saloon car on the road, then you floor it and it makes every one look. The fuel economy is fabulous as well. The cabin is full of fabulous gadgets. The 4.2 V8 Sport GT is the best car to buy in the world of wives and kids. It's perfect!
I have owned this car now for 1 year and it has been a dream to own. The paddle shift gear box works really well unlike other paddle shift cars i have drove. The interior is to die for i have midnight red interior and the body is silver. i am really pleased with the performance of my maserati and couldent live without it..... IT TURNS HEAD ROUND EVERY CORNER
