Abarth has successfully transplanted some old-school hot hatch fun into the electric 500e. It's a shame, then, that its appeal is limited by its poor range and practicality, as well as worrying deprecation and a divisive external sound generator. We can see an amount of buyers forgiving these faux pas and succumbing to its charms, but we fear that group is niche.

We can see why Turismo trim would be tempting, because it includes loads of Alcantara interior touches, heated front seats, heated door mirrors and keyless entry. The thing is it makes the 500e rather expensive and hard to recommend ahead of its rivals.
