The Aston Martin DB12 does a very convincing job of being an opulent long-distance cruiser with a more athletic side than its key rivals. The interior is thoroughly modern and yet retains enough physical controls to be usable.
The engine
The only engine option is a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8. It produces 671bhp, allowing you to get up to the motorway limit briskly using only its mid-range grunt. The car absolutely flies when you rev it hard, but you'll probably see fuel consumption drop into the teens.
