The fully electric BMW i7 luxury limo has an astonishing range of tech, treats its passengers like royalty and is great to drive. If you do buy one, we think the eDrive50 version in entry-level Elegance trim is the smart choice.
The trim
Entry-level Excellence trim comes with 19in alloy wheels, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, a panoramic glass sunroof, heated front and rear seats, wireless phone-charging and a head-up display. But while this is enough to make it our pick of the range, we’d recommend adding the Executive Pack and the Technology Plus Pack.
The engine
In xDrive60 form, the i7 has two electric motors – one driving the front wheels and another the rears – that together pump out 536bhp. That’s enough for a 0-62mph time of 4.7 seconds, but you pay a sizeable premium over the entry-level eDrive50 model, which isn't exactly slow and gets the same 101.7kWh (usable capacity) battery.
