The engine
The 592bhp 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 delivers virtually instantaneous response before the power comes. And what power – it fires you up the road like the angry hand of God has just given you an almighty smack on the bottom, with a 0-62mph dash of just 3.2sec, while top speed can be up to 190mph, too. The synthesised engine note doesn’t sound as exciting as the Mercedes-AMG E63’s glorious rumble and the eight-speed auto gearbox isn’t as immediate at times as the Porsche Panamera Turbo’s, though.
