The Fiat Grande Panda Electric’s low pricing is simply the cherry on top of a good electric car. It's relatively roomy, well equipped in La Prima trim and the near-200-mile official range means it’ll work for more people than the Dacia Spring. The Hyundai Inster and Renault 5 are a bit better executed, but choosing the Grande Panda Electric is no bad move.
The trim
The range-topping trim – La Prima – does push up the price a bit but is very well equipped. It comes with a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, a wireless phone-charger, automatic lights and wipers, and built-in sat nav.
The engine
This is your only battery option as of now and it provides you with a decent official range of 199 miles. The electric motor it’s partnered with isn’t the most powerful out there, with just 111bhp on tap. This allows for 0-60mph time of around 11sec – fairly tame by electric car standards, but good enough in most situations.
