There’s a lot to like with the ZR-V, but it’s pricier than most rivals and is better suited to those who don’t require the biggest family SUV. It’s hardly cramped, but rivals have bigger boots and more versatility.
The trim
The mid-level trim is expected to be the most popular, adding a powered boot lid, silver pedals, part-fabric and faux-leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and sportier exterior details, including a honeycomb front grille and matt black wheels.
The engine
Hybrid power is from a 2.0-litre petrol engine and two electric motors producing 181bhp and 232lb ft of torque, with a 0-62mph time ranging between 7.8sec and 8.0sec, depending on spec. Top speed is 107mph, and every model comes with an automatic gearbox.
