Kia Sportage 1.6T GDi ISG 3 5dr Review

The model
Read full reviewThe Kia Sportage is a great all-round family SUV that offers a generous amount of space for four and in the boot, with one of best interiors in its class. The Sportage still makes the most sense if you stick with the lower trim levels, but despite the Hyundai Tucson being a slightly cheaper route into a hybrid family SUV, we reckon the Sportage is the slightly more polished alternative.
The trim
See full equipmentThe 3 trim could be the sweet spot in the range, with 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3inch touchscreen and 12.3inch digital instrument cluster. There's also a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, electric front seats and part-leather seating.
The engine
See full engine specsThe entry-level 1.6-litre petrol engine offers 148bhp and sprints from 0-62mph in 9.9sec. It should offer sufficient performance for pretty much any situation, even if it may need working hard to get up to speed. You can have the 1.6 T-GDI with an automatic or a manual gearbox. The automatic also comes with mild-hybrid tech to reduce emissions and fuel consumption, and can be had with four-wheel drive.
