The Mini Cooper Electric is stylish and fun to drive, but it’s let down by a firm ride, a cramped interior and a fiddly infotainment system. While used prices are quite tempting, especially for a nearly new car, you can buy a Peugeot e-208 with superior practicality for much less.
The trim
Exclusive trim gets you a good range of personalisation options, but we'd recommend paying a bit extra for the Cooper SE. You'll get a longer range and more standard kit.
The engine
If you can afford it, this Cooper SE version is worth the extra. It has a longer range than the entry-level Cooper E (officially up to 250 miles) and offers slightly faster acceleration.
