Find your perfect Passat

Cars available now

This ninth-generation VW Passat is the best yet, proving a comfortable, refined and hugely practical estate with a smart interior, plus it can make a cheap company car. If you do buy one, we think the 1.5 TSI eHybrid engine is a good choice. Mid-spec Elegance is our pick of the trim range.

Go for the top-spec R-Line trim, and you get bigger, 18in wheels, matrix LED headlights, Dynamic Chassis Control with adaptive suspension, and sporty styling upgrades inside and out. Unfortunately it also pushes the price up to a level where the Passat starts to look quite expensive.

This 148bhp petrol engine uses mild-hybrid technology to bolster performance and fuel economy; the 0-62mph sprint is completed in 9.2 seconds and it officially averages more than 50mpg. It’s available only with a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
