The Volkswagen Taigo is a competent all-rounder and an easily recommendable used buy. However, some of its small SUV rivals are more fun to drive and some are more affordable.
The trim
Black Edition is similarly priced and similarly well equipped next to R-Line but gets 18in wheels and lots of black styling features.
The engine
Our recommended 113bhp engine is a good choice if you do lots of motorway driving, although its 0-62mph sprint time of 9.9 seconds is not particularly quick.
