The Volkswagen Taigo is a competent all-rounder and an easily recommendable used buy. However, some of its small SUV rivals are more fun to drive and some are more affordable.
The trim
Taking the step up to Style trim means you get all the same equipment as Life trim but with 17in alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, a larger 10.3in driver display screen, sports comfort seats, built-in sat-nav and dual-zone climate control with touch-sensitive controls.
The engine
Our recommended 113bhp engine is a good choice if you do lots of motorway driving, although its 0-62mph sprint time of 9.9 seconds is not particularly quick.
