Cadillac has released prices for its new BLS compact executive and you can pick up the BMW 3 Series rival for less than £20,000 when it goes on sale in April.

The third engine in the range, a 2.8-litre V6 that produces 252bhp, starts at £30,200.

Three trim levels will be available: Business, Elegance and Sport Luxury. Although exact specifications has yet to be announced, all cars will have air-conditioning, alloy wheels, front, side and curtain airbags, a trip computer, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, electric widows and a CD player as standard.

Initially, the Sport Luxury package will only be offered with the 2.8-litre petrol.

Whatcar.com will have a full review of the BLS at the end of March.
