Renault owners can now book services and get quotes for work online through a new website.

Operating 24 hours a day and seven days a week, Renault's new Service Booking Online site at is claimed to be the first web-based system in the UK.

Owners can check when a service is due, book time in their local workshop, request pick-up and delivery of their car, ask for a courtesy car and confirm the cost of their next service. The website also allows owners to request additional work to be carried out and book an MoT.

Renault says the website will make it easier for owners to stick to the servicing schedule for their car.

Remember, however, that you could save money if you put shop around for competitive quotes – independent garages not included in the new online system might offer lower prices.

Independent garages are fully entitled to service your car, as long as they follow the manufacturers' guidelines for the work and use approved parts.
