Hot hatch - A hot hatch is based on an existing hatchback model, usually a supermini or small family car. It will have a more powerful engine to give increased performance, bigger wheels and tyres to give a more aggressive look and improve road holding. Many will also have revised suspension to give a firmer ride and better handling. More sporty interior trims are common and may feature racing-style bucket seats.
