2013 Vauxhall Cascada prices revealed
Although the Cascada shares parts with the Astra and Insignia, it's a bespoke model with an electrically folding cloth roof. At 470cm long, the Cascada is 7cm longer than an Audi A5 Cabriolet and 28cm longer than a Volkswagen Eos. Vauxhall describes it as a full four-seater.
From launch, four engines will be available. Three are existing Vauxhall units: 138bhp 1.4 and 163bhp 2.0-litre petrols, and a 192bhp 2.0-litre Bi-turbo diesel.
The Cascada also gets Vauxhall's all-new 1.6 SIDI Turbo Ecotec petrol engine, which develops 168bhp and 207lb ft of torque. In the Cascada it combines with a six-speed gearbox to give average economy of 54.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 138g/km.
Vauxhall's Hiperstrut front suspension system – which is designed to improve steering feel and handling – is standard across the range.
Two trims will be available – SE and Elite. Standard equipment on SE models includes 18-inch alloys, while Elite models also get leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and front foglights.
Three roof colours are available and can be combined with a choice of 10 body colours.
The all-new four-seater convertible is available to order now, with first deliveries expected in April.
