Drivers of Volvos will soon be able to control certain functions of their car from their smartwatch thanks to an update of the Volvo On Call app.
The new technology is based on the Sensus infotainment system from the Volvo XC90 and will be released at the end of June this year.
Drivers will be able to set heater timings, control settings and locate their vehicle in car parks, as well as lock and unlock it from their wrist.
The app will also feature an enhanced navigation system that will allow users to send routes from their watch to their car.
The Apple Watch, Android Wear, iPad and Windows Phone app with Cortana voice control will all be compatible with the new version of Volvo On Call.
