Following the 500L’s electrical woes last week, it turned out that a faulty battery was to blame for it twice refusing to start in three days.

After some deliberation, Fiat’s roadside assistance service decided the safest option was for them to send out a new battery the next morning instead of jump-starting the car and letting us get to the nearest dealer, as the current battery wasn’t holding its charge.

After an unexpected hour’s delay the next morning, the extremely friendly Fiat assistance guy did turn up with a replacement battery, and the 500L was running once more.

So far, this seems to have fixed the issue, and the 500L is hopefully set for some trouble-free motoring over the festive period.
