Ford's 100 years in photos – 3/52

19 January 2011

Ford is celebrating 100 years in Britain by delving into its archive of photographs.

This week, the star of the show is the Cortina – which sold more than four million cars over its 20-year lifespan up to 1982.

Instantly recognisable to fans of The Sweeney and The Avengers, this impressive pair of posters bade farewell to the much-loved model. It's stuck to the poster with Araldite.
