This is Kia's all-new Sportage crossover, which was revealed at the Geneva motor show today.
What is it? It's Kia's all-new Sportage crossover, which will go head-to-head with cars such as the Peugeot 3008 and Skoda Yeti when it goes on sale in the autumn.
Longer, lower and wider than the current model, the third-generation Sportage looks sleeker and sportier than ever before, but keeps the raised driving position and higher ground clearance you’d expect from a crossover.
The new car has more space for passengers and luggage, and Kia also claims it has a better ride quality than the outgoing model.
From launch the new Sportage will be available with either a revised 2.0-litre petrol or an all-new 134bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine but these will soon be joined by a 1.7-litre diesel – featuring Kia’s ISG (Intelligent Stop & Go) engine stop-start technology – and a 1.6-litre petrol.

Final decisions on the UK range are yet to be made, but all the engines will be available, and Kia UK plans to offer both front- and four-wheel drive versions, plus automatic and manual transmissions.
