Why wont the salesman match the value for my car as shown in the What Car? Used Car Price Guide?
Make sure youre both looking at the correct value. The dealer may be using the lower trade values when youre simply selling for cash.
The part-exchange value is higher, but youll still probably need to haggle.
Remember, too, that values are just a guide. Market conditions vary quickly, and your car may be worth less if it has high mileage or isnt in good condition.
