Nissan Qashqai
Our 2014 Car of the Year is also your most searched for vehicle in 2014. The second generation Qashqai received our coveted five-star rating when it went on sale earlier this year, and we say it’s the finest small SUV on the market.
Mazda CX-5
The Mazda CX-5 is a larger rival to the Qashqai, and ranks just below it in the most searched for car of 2014 rankings. It's still a five-star car in our eyes, though.
Ford Fiesta
It’s no surprise to find Britain’s best-selling car so high up our most searched for cars of 2014 list. This Fiesta has been on sale since 2008, but in that time only the Volkswagen Polo and new Skoda Fabia have excelled beyond it in our supermini class rankings.
BMW 3 Series
The 3 Series is the fourth most searched for car overall on whatcar.com in 2014, and the most searched for executive saloon. Fresh competition will arrive in 2015 with the new Jaguar XE and Audi A4.
Audi TT coupe
We always ranked the previous Audi TT as our favourite coupe, and it’s a baton that the new model takes over. Only on sale since the autumn, the new TT is still the fifth most searched for car on whatcar.com.
