There’s a lot to like about this car. For a start, it’s designed by Giugiaro (who also has the Alfa Brera on his CV), and its tiny size is a boon when parking.

However, we’ve only driven a pre-production model, and we hope that the production version answers some of our criticisms.

First, the range is just 40 miles, which is very short, although a planned version with lithium-ion batteries should increase that.

Second, the performance is too sluggish, even for city use; and, finally, the build quality on the car we drove was awful – although we have been assured that this will be improved on the production models.
