For The Vanquish rides well and sounds fantastic, while its interior looks and feels very classy.

Against It doesn’t feel as fast or exciting as a range-topping Aston Martin should.

Buyer's notes

Target Price team says:

This is where we usually tell you which engine and trim combination is best to go for, but that’s not really the Aston Martin way. All Vanquish models have the same V12 engine, and there’s only one edition of the car.

That doesn’t mean there are no choices to be made, though. You have to decide whether you want the two-seat or four-seat version, and there’s a dizzying array of exotic optional extras to choose from. Indeed, most buyers will elevate the cost of their car by several thousand pounds, even though the Vanquish already comes pretty well equipped as standard.

Reader test team says:

This car has moved the game on from the DBS. It is a better ride, more precise steering and more comfortable. It even moves into the 21st century…
