For The TT is as good to drive as it is to look at and it's beautifully built. The cheaper models are surprisingly affordable to own.
Against Almost a default choice, so you'll not be alone in having one. The models higher up the range aren't great value for money.
Our Coupe of the Year since 2007, thanks to its blend of looks, quality and driving appeal. The icing on the cake is that our favourite model doesn't cost a lot to buy or run.
Audi’s TT has been a huge success for the brand, and it’s not difficult to see why. In either coupe or roadster guise, the TT offers an inexpensive and appealing way to get into premium-badged sports car ownership.
The wide range of engines consists largely of turbocharged four-cylinder units; the only six-cylinder choice is a 3.2-litre V6. Oddly, it’s not the flagship model, that honour being reserved for the TT RS with its 335bhp 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine. There’s even a turbodiesel available for those wanting their TT motoring as economical as possible.
All but the entry-level petrol models come with Audi’s Quattro four-wheel drive, while most can be specified with Audi’s swift and smooth S tronic semi-automatic transmission. Beautifully finished inside and out, any TT is an enjoyable ownership proposition.
