    My car

I've had my car for a year. Like others I'm quite disappointed by the fuel economy - 38 mpg on a motorway (42 mpg if I'm lucky), it can be down to below 30 mpg in town. Had a traction control sensor fail on the first day of ownership which kept throwing on the ABS brakes. It meant 3 days off the road and a tow to the local dealer! Not impressive. Nor was I impressed with having to change the front tyres at 6,800 miles! Changed tyre brand to Bridgestones and they are performing well (no more tramlining on rutted roads either).

Now covered 12000 miles and all's settled well (bar the fuel economy). I love the quality feel inside and it's a great solid motorway mile-muncher. Space could be better in the back and boot. I love the classy looks too.

Car is quick and easy to drive with a great turning circle. Parking sensors front and rear are useful given the length of the car. Heated seats are a little slow to heat up but have been useful in recent cold weather. Auto lights and wipers work very well.

Yet to have my first service (indicator gives another 6000 miles). Watch your oil level as it can need topping up every few months.

    My car

Bought this car new in October, have now covered 2500 miles and am very dissappointed. Having particular problems with the driving position to such an extend I have been back to the dealership several times and driven other identical models to confirm problem. Another dissappointment is the fuel economy averaging 44mpg and driving on a motorway commute of 20 minutes each day. My 3 year old mondeo on the same journeys returned 53mpg, hence my dissappointment.

With regard to the quality it appears good, not sure why some of the reviews state otherwise. The equipment level on the SE is adequate I specced a few extras like heated seats, electric lumbar, rear parking sensors and cruise control.

To sum up it looks great but I find it uncomfortable, to such an extend that I am all ready considering changing in the new year (at great expense). Probably heading back for the new Ford Mondeo.

    My car

Now up to 9000 miles so i thought i would update my first impressions. First for the no as impressed is the fuel economy as it has actually gone down to 45mpg on mostly motorway driving which is disappointing. The only other gripe is some of the Audi service as the wiper blades where shot from around 1000 miles (apparently the wrong cleaner could have been used on the PDI). I followed thier advise on cleaning the blades but they did not improve but have been told if i want replacements i will have to buy new even though they agree wipers should last more than 1 month in the summer! Poor show. And thats it for the bad. The pedal positioning is no so uncomfortable anymore (though having driven a friends multitronic i agree they are much better set)and i still love the look and recieve many comments even now. But by far the best part is the drive, whilst not as quick as some cars i've owned it is the best alround experience as it offers excellent grip, roadholding and balance with enough power to avoid frustration.

    My car

This car is great to drive and very comfortable in the front. However rear space, both legroom and width is very poor; as my daughter is getting bigger we will not be getting another A4. The rear bumper scratches so easily - even if you just look at it in a funny way. Finally for approx. £27k of car some very annoying niggles such as some covers in the boot not fitting properly. Next time I'll choose something other than Audi.
