    My car

My wife and I have had this car for a a couple of months or so now, bought an 06 (new grill) model with 26k on the clock. What a lovely car to drive. We traded in my wifes 3 series, we are really happy with the change. The ride is firm with plenty of feeling from the road through to the steering wheel and cornering balance is really nice and your feel confident pusing into and driving round bends. I was a little worried that the 2.0 TDI would not have enough get up and go but it is suprisingly swift and motorway cruising is very easy and comfortable. The 6 speed gearbox is a gem, much shorter in stroke than my 5 series. The leather seats are comfortable and the automatic lumber adjust is really effective. The only slight downside is that the breaks seem a little weak, I may just be me, my wife thinks there fine. Maybe i'm too use to my 5 series. The foldng roof is a real engineering dream and the car, I think is the best looking cabriolet around.

    My car

I have owned my A4 Cab' for 5 months now and it has covered 10,000 miles since new in that time. Just about faultless. The only fault I can complain about is the particulate filter light comes on occasionally. Not a great problem but a problem all the same. Mine has the multi-tronic gearbox with the flappy paddles. What a superbly smooth gearbox, I must admit it spends most of its life in "D" but on the odd twisty road I do use the 7 speed paddles to great affect. The weight of the car means it's no Alfa Romeo to drive but enjoyable never the less. This is my second Audi, the first being an A6 Avant, I have always found the dealerships helpful and friendly, I hope this continues. At the moment I can't wait for the summer and am looking forward to a few years of pleasure with my A4 Cab'.

    My car

We've had the 3.0Tdi auto S line for 18 months now and its been almost faultless.I had a towbar fitted a year ago - a detachable type which is invisible when not in use.The car tows 1500kg really well and is like a rock on the road.Towbar from Indespension for around £450 with 13 pin elecs. One little problem - on 2 occasions the exhaust has got hot - I mean really hot after just a short run.It was so hot after a 2 miles from cold run that my finger sizzled when touched on the chrome surround at the rear of the car!The temp gauge showed normal. It hasn't happened since and the dealer dismissed it as normal.Exhausts get hot he said.Normal my ar*e. Fuel economy is excellent - I can nurse 45 mpg on a run and 35 mixed driving. The display is showing another 7000 miles till the variable service is due which will make the interval about 15000 miles - pretty good for mostly short journeys and towing.(27 mpg) Worst feature on the car is the Sat nav.Why can't it be simple to use like a Tom Tom?It's always a wind up.Also the heated seats should have warning lights so you know they're on. Altogether very happy with the car but the dealership (Reading)has continued to be untrustworthy and underhanded.I would never trust them again after all the lies and shabby treatment.

    My car

I had to sell my Audi cabriolet in the end because I could not cope with anything else going wrong with it.

From day one, the display said the brakes had failed. After 18 months of going back and forward to the garage they agreed it was a fault and in fact discovered a faulty manufactured brake well.

There were also problems with the radio switching off when you put the windows down, the CD not working at times and a niggling sound when changing gear.

Originally, they replaced the gearbox but after two years and many trips to the garage, they discovered it was a known fault with the air flow system but there was no repair available!

I contacted Audi UK and faxed the MD's office directly. I was passed around from person to person with lots of false promises. In the end I thought it would be easier to get rid of the car than to have to deal with Audi again.

The only upside is that the car looks gorgeous!
