I test drove this car last Saturday (28/07/07). I currently own an A4, and the build quality of this A5 is typical Audi - sky-high.
The engine is ultra-flexible, with a fabulous gear change and well-weighted clutch, and more torque than I have experienced so far from a 3.0 diesel.
The body design is gorgeous, and nearly made me order the car there and then, except - the interior is dark and looming. I think it would be very depressing if you order the wrong colour.
The rear seating room is nothing but a joke. Why Audi did not go for a two seater, or cut some room from the cavernous boot in favour of more rear room is beyond me.
The seating and dark atmosphere inside put me off, and although I may still buy one, it has made me think twice.
However, apart from the inside, it's a beautiful car, and one to be seen in.
