Positives:
A well build and very comfortable car to drive. The handling is not bad for a hatchback, but was still a lot more wayward than a hatchback. If you don't need the extra space, then don't go for the estate!
Negatives: I did not put my foot down much and averaged 20mpg. The O2 sensor failed twice, costing me hundreds. The climate control sometimes had a mind of its own
Overall, if you want a large well build car, and do not care how much it costs to run it, buy this car. If money is remotely an issue, don't buy this car!!
Quickly drivin it and was very pleased with it. Beautiful car brillant equipment and lovely ride. Would recomend to anyone wanting a estate car!
I have now had my Audi A6 Avant for 3 weeks, giving me enough time I think to write a reasonable review of the car. I have the Le Mans special addition in Black. There was a long wait of 3 months for the factory order but now I have it I am very please with it. It is a big car but easy to drive, the auto gearbox is designed for reasonably steady driving but put into sport or manual mode, the car responds really quite well and delivers a bit of excitement to the drive. The handling is superb for such a heavy car, no problem with fast or slow bends taken at agressive speeds. The sports suspension of the S-line does make the ride harsh at times but I dont find it a problem even on long 200 mile journeys to London.
The interior is great and I particular like the Audi Music Interface. An expensive extra but a must for anyone with an IPOD/MP3. Gives access to your whole music collection on screen. Excellent.
Fuel economy is really poor around time but good on the motorway. Couldnt be happier
I have owned my A6 Avant 2.7 S-line for about 6 months, and overall am quite dissapointed with the car, mainly because of the poor seats and uncomfortable ride. The performance, build quality, equipment, space, economy and reliability are all very good, in particular on the positive side for a car of this size and performance to regularly achieve 40mpg is very good indeed. But I feel dissapointed after a long drive when I arrive with a stiff neck and sore back! I intend to change this car within the next few months, and probably heading towards a RAV4 T180. I'll probably regret the economy side of things, but I won't miss those seats.

I've had 6 VWs now including this one and it is a mixed bag. In no particular order the economy is poor despite the FSI badging and in town never…
Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
